Nestled in the breathtaking Animas River Valley near Hermosa, Colorado, Animas Botanicals Farm is a flourishing 12-acre medicinal herb farm where hundreds of botanicals are grown with intention and care. This special evening offers a rare opportunity to experience the plants where they live, learning directly from the people who cultivate and work with them every day. Together we'll wander through the gardens, slowing down to observe the colors, aromas, textures, and personalities of the plants. You'll be guided in practices that help quiet the mind and awaken the senses, allowing you to experience medicinal herbs not only through information, but through direct relationship. We'll explore the fascinating stories, growing practices, harvesting techniques, and traditional uses of several seasonally blooming medicinal herbs in the garden. Throughout the evening you'll gain a deeper understanding of how high-quality medicinal herbs are cultivated, what makes fresh plant medicine unique, and why developing a relationship with the living plants can enrich both your herbal knowledge and your health. Before you leave, you'll harvest your own custom bouquet of fresh medicinal herbs to take home, dry, and transform into nourishing herbal tea—a lasting reminder of your time on the farm. Whether you're completely new to herbal medicine or have been studying plants for years, this evening is designed to inspire curiosity, deepen your connection with nature, and offer practical knowledge you can bring into your own life.
